Murthly village is situated to the south of the River Tay and is 5 miles south-east of Dunkeld, providing easy access to the A9 and the North of Scotland. The Murthly estate covers over 12,000 acres and includes a beautiful15th-century castle and the breath-taking Chapel of St Anthony the Eremite. The Chapel was restored in the 1990s and is a remarkable example of the history of the  area.

The village has a well-stocked shop, while the modern Uisge Bar and Restaurant offers visitors a good range of meals and refreshments throughout the day.
